Khaya Arts Productions seeks rising performers to join group

FOLLOWING the successful hosting of their inaugural Umthombo Wesintu Cultural Festival last month, Bulawayo’s premier music and dance ensemble, Khaya Arts Productions, is not slowing down.
The National Arts Merit Awards award-winning group has officially launched a recruitment drive, looking to freshen its line-up and inject dynamic new blood into its ranks.
The ensemble, which has long been a cornerstone of the city’s cultural soul, is opening its doors to the next generation of performers who are ready to take their passion to the professional stage.
In an announcement shared across their social media platforms, the group expressed their eagerness to discover fresh, untapped talent within the region, emphasising that passion and commitment are just as important as prior experience.
“We are looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to join our team, whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, we’d love to have you on board. Come let’s share our love for art,” the ensemble stated.
Led by the visionary Future Dube, Khaya Arts Productions has built a fierce reputation for high-octane choreography, rich storytelling, and preserving traditional heritage while blending it with contemporary flair.
This new recruitment drive is seen as a strategic move to sustain that legacy while giving young artists a life-changing platform.
Khaya Arts Productions is calling on those with you the rhythm, the voice, or the theatrical presence to share the stage with them.
Those between the ages of 17 and 23 are invited to audition at the Tshabalala Open Arena in Bulawayo, running any day from Monday through Friday.
