Esteemed musician Khuxxman is set to make a return from his sabbatical, with the much-anticipated release of his EP titled “AfroDance 3” later this month.
The Afro-pop maestro, born Khulekani Bethule, candidly shared that he went through a challenging period emotionally, contemplating the possibility of concluding his musical journey.
Despite these obstacles, Khuxxman is ready to captivate his audience with a fresh musical offering.
He is renowned for his hit track “MaAfrica” released in 2000, which soared to the top of the national charts and earned him a nomination at the Zimbabwe Music Awards.

In an interview with Chronicle Showbiz, Khuxxman revealed his renewed focus and determination to create more musical masterpieces.
“I faced a tough time in my personal life, and you can’t truly immerse yourself in music when your mind is clouded.
However, I’ve been experimenting with different sounds. The main goal for 2024 is to lift myself up and resume the journey after nearly three years of inactivity.
There’s a wealth of music ready for release,” he said.
“The EP features five Isitshikitsha tracks, including ‘Impendulo’, ‘Tshoba lengugama’ featuring Mzanywa – a South African maskandi musician, ‘Ngeyamadlozi’ featuring Vusa Mkhaya, ‘Killemol’ featuring Mthabisi Moyo, and ‘Hamba Ngihawule’ featuring Juicy, as well as ‘Siyayizonda’ featuring Mjikelwa – a Trap maskandi musician.
“Most of the tracks draw inspiration from existing traditional choruses but are infused with modernised harmonies and instrumentation,” explained Khuxxman. – @mthabisi_mthire
