British-Nigerian entertainment mogul and cultural visionary Dr Adesegun Adeosun Jr, popularly known as King SMADE, is expected to arrive in Harare this afternoon for a high-profile visit that will strengthen cultural and creative ties between Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
The visit, hosted by AfriLegacy in partnership with the Nyaradzo Group, is part of preparations for the upcoming AfriKingdom Festival 2026–2027, a continental celebration of African faith, creativity, and enterprise, set to be co-hosted by Zimbabwe and South Africa.
King SMADE, the co-founder of the Afro Nation Festival and CEO of SMADE Entertainment Group, is expected to hold a series of meetings with Government officials, business leaders, and creatives to build partnerships ahead of the festival.
His visit is also expected to highlight Zimbabwe’s growing influence in Africa’s creative economy.
AfriLegacy CEO Joseph Madziyire said the team is fully prepared to welcome King SMADE and his delegation, describing the visit as a significant milestone in positioning Zimbabwe as a hub of cultural collaboration.
“We are excited to receive Dr King SMADE this afternoon,” said Madziyire. “His visit marks a new chapter in uniting Africa’s creative industries and strengthening cultural diplomacy. Zimbabwe is ready to host and engage with him as we prepare for the AfriKingdom Festival, which will showcase the best of African excellence, faith, and innovation.”
Madziyire added that the visit will set the tone for the AfriKingdom roadshow, which will tour key African cities ahead of the 2026 launch.
King SMADE’s arrival is expected to draw attention from across the entertainment and business sectors, signalling Zimbabwe’s growing role in shaping Africa’s creative and cultural future.
