THE Virtuous Daughters of the Word held its inaugural ladies’ conference, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds to learn and grow in their faith.
Hosted by Mrs Thando Harrison, wife of Solution Ground International Church leader Prophet Obina Obed Harrison, the event was held at Phakama House along Jason Moyo Street (between Leopold Takawira and 8th Avenue, Bulawayo). The church, now a year old, is co-led by Prophet Obina Obed Harrison and his wife.
Mrs Harrison delivered an inspiring biblical teaching on discipline, spiritual investment, guidance, and accountability for women striving to be virtuous and productive in Christ.
The conference, themed “Know Your Purpose”, featured speakers who shared successful life and business journeys. It began with intercessory prayers for marriages, businesses, and homes.

Mrs Harrison opened by humbly submitting to God’s will and acknowledging her husband’s spiritual leadership. Her message covered crucial practices for women:
Building spiritual foundations for children
Treating others with kindness and respect
Maintaining dignity
Trusting God’s timing during adversity

She cited Joseph’s story, emphasising integrity, self-discipline, and values: “As women, we should be careful; not every act of kindness or smile means genuine love. Joseph was treated well by Potiphar’s wife — perhaps he thought she saw a son in him, but she saw a man to sleep with.”
Mrs Harrison urged trust in God’s plan: “You cannot tell adults to abstain from alcohol or premarital sex, only the Holy Spirit convicts. Remember, Jesus was betrayed by a kiss from His disciple, and Peter denied Him.” She added: “Have confidence as a woman. Whether people deem you unattractive or imperfectly shaped, you’re in your position because God called you there.”

Entrepreneur Mrs Caroline Zinyengere addressed financial discipline: “I taught myself money management early. Live within your means; know your level. Build capital through small, consistent investments.”
Health expert Ms Judith Munyoro stressed self-care: “Know your purpose. Before others can love you, love yourself.” She advocated healthy eating habits.

The conference fostered connection, experience-sharing, and spiritual growth, with Mrs Harrison mentoring attendees. It concluded with women feeling empowered, encouraged, and motivated to apply these lessons.
