GOALKEEPER, Knowledge Jim becomes the first Zimbabwean to play in the 2017/ 18 MTN Premier League of Swaziland on his return to the Red Lions fold but quickly marred it with excessive time wasting antics that earned him a yellow card during a match against Matsapha United.
Returning from a last season transfer listing, thanks to the Red Lionsa 0-4 mauling at the hands of Manzini Sundowns, Jim started on Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium against the Saul Chaminuka coached Matsapha United but seemed to overcook his antics costing the game a combined 15 minutes.
Jim would from time to throw himself to the ground without even a touch from the opposition and at one time he held up for close to six minutes soon after Lions had taken the 13th minute lead.
He was to again a?collapsea giving birth to a 10 minutes optional time much to the frustration of the opponents and fans on the terraces.
In the second half it didnat seem to improve stretching the refereeas patience to the crease earning him a very stupid yellow card in the 87th minute.
Meanwhile, after two false starts Ikabort Masocha finally got the taste of Swazi football with a winning start as his Mbabane Citizens beat Hub Sundowns 1-0 on Saturday.
Citizens had two false starts when their tie against Bad Boys was aborted twice.
The match was initially called off at the eleventh hour by authorities with Bad Boys not showing up for the rescheduled tie.
In other news, former Mbabane Swallows defender Talent Maphosa has been linked with a move to new boys Vovovo FC. The transfer window period closes today (Friday). -@NoelMunzabwa
