Korean Air plane overruns runway in Japan’s Niigata

ndegeTOKYO, A Korean Air passenger plane on late Monday overran a runway when landing in Japan’s Niigata airport and no injuries were immediately reported, according to local media. The Korean Air Flight 763, a Boeing 737 aircraft, departed from Seoul at around 6 p.m. local time and overran the runway in the city of Niigata along the coast of the Sea of Japan at around 8 p. m. local time, said Japan’s Kyodo News, quoting the Niigata office of Japan’s Transport Ministry.

The plane now stranded with its front gear on the grass beyond the runway, said the report.(Xinhua)
