Mwana Africa in a top-of-the-table clash at Hellenics tomorrow.
La Liga, who stormed into Division One after acquiring the franchise of Simba Stars, got off to a flying start and are the only team yet to taste defeat in 10 matches.
The Naison Muchekela-coached side surrendered top spot to Mwana Africa last week, a position they held for more than seven weeks, following back-to-back draws against Commando Bullets and DC Academy in their last two matches.
Mwana Africa have been in devastating form and last week they beat Black Rhinos 2-0 to go two points clear at the top of the log.
It will be interesting to see how the teams play with Mwana Africa having the best attack in the league, which has scored 19 goals, against a La Liga side with the best defence having conceded only three goals.
Mwana Africa coach Peter Sakonda acknowledged the importance of the game and said a win against La Liga will brighten their chances for Premiership football next season.
“We are expecting a good game against La Liga they are a good side and they are second on the log.
“We have been working hard and we are going for the three points because a win against La Liga will give us an advantage at the top.
“We want to keep possession and play our usual game, everyone is fit and raring to go,” said Sakonda.
Mwana Africa will be hoping that strikers Raphael Manuwire, Alpha Banda and experienced midfielder Alisara Kondowe fire from all cylinders.
La Liga coach Naison Muchekela is confident of a win despite the loss of some of his first team players to injury.
“It’s going to be a tough match against Mwana who have a lot of experienced players.
“We are looking forward to the game and I’m sure we will win because we have been playing well but it’s only the goals which have not been coming.
“Forbes Nyama and Lot Chiunga are out with injuries but I’m confident the other players we have can win the game for us,” said Muchekela.
Artwell Nyamiwa and Silas Songai will be expected to spearhead La Liga’s attack while Partson Jaure should marshal the midfield.
Highfield United will be hoping to maintain their current good form, which saw them winning their last two encounters to move out of the relegation zone.
They engage an unpredictable ZPC Kariba at Gwanzura and Richard Mteki, who had a good game last weekend, will be expected to carry on from where he left when they beat Eiffel Flats 1-0 at Rimuka.
