Lady Chevrons are not putting themselves under any pressure by looking far ahead at the ICC Africa T20 qualifiers being hosted by Uganda.
Instead they are taking each as it comes as they seek to continue with a fine run after an impressive start.
After watching her charges starting off their campaign on high, beating Kenya by 62 runs in the opening match of the qualifiers on Saturday, skipper Mary-Anne Musonda revealed that they are not putting themselves under any pressure.
Today they face Botswana in the second game.
“We are taking each game at a time, and we are not thinking long term. Once we win a game we focus on the next game.
“Winning our first game is a plus for us and it gives confidence going into the next match and we are looking forward to the next game,” said Musonda.
The Lady Chevrons have only failed to qualify once to the global qualifiers since the inception of the African T20 qualifiers in 2016.
