THERE was a last minute rush on Thursday on the basketball scene as clubs made last minute signings ahead of the national club championships in Bulawayo that began on Friday.
Winners of the tournament will represent Zimbabwe in the continental finals later this year in both the men and women’s categories.
On display are Zimbabwe’s top clubs drawn from across the country, taking part on the strength of being provincial champions or runners up.
Some of the players who moved came from African countries.

Harare Basketball Association led in the chase for reinforcements from Africa with 18 of the 22 players split between five clubs.

Bulawayo and the Midlands each had two foreign players brought into their squads ahead of the championships.
