President Mugabe today commissioned the first phase of the Airport Road from Harare International Airport to the Dieppe Road roundabout near Coca-cola company.
The first phase of the road, which is being constructed by the Zimbabwe National Road Authority, cost US$15, 8 million.

Addressing scores of people who came to witness the commissioning of the road, President Mugabe said Airport Road was the first notable infrastructure project to be commissioned in the context of ZimAsset.
“Most of you agree with me that the project we are commissioning today is one of the most notable infrastructure projects commissioned to date within the context of ZimAsset,” he said.
