Latest: Six injured in Council – kombi high-speed chase

AT least six people were injured when commuter omnibuses collided while fleeing a Harare City Council vehicle this afternoon.

The incident happened at corner Chinhoyi Street and Kwame Nkrumah Avenue.

accident1According to an eyewitness, a Toyota Vigo believed to be a Council vehicle was chasing a commuter omnibus along Kwame Nkrumah.

“When the commuter omnibus got to Chinhoyi Street intersection, it collided with another Copacabana bound commuter omnibus before ramming onto Chicken Slice food outlet.

“The Council vehicle fled the scene after realizing that an accident had happened.”

The injured were taken to hospital by a well-wisher.
