LEGENDARY grassroots football development guru, Ali “Baba” Dube, has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award.

Dube was honoured with the chairman’s football dedication lifetime award by the Zimbabwe Football Forum.

The awards were sponsored by Herentals Group of Colleges and Schools as well as Glytime Foods.

The Zimbabwe Football Forum says the chairman’s award is especially designed to honour individuals dedicated to developing the sport.

“The Chairman’s dedication award is a group of awards recognising individuals dedicated to the development of football through their life-long commitment to training, mentoring, counseling, and skills impartation on young or junior players (both boys and girls).

“Their invaluable contribution has and is keeping young talented players from impoverished families and communities out of the streets and away from anti-social vices like gambling, prostitution, drug and substance abuse.

“Our utmost gratitude to the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award Sponsors including Herentals Group of Colleges and Schools and Glytime Foods.”
