Harare provincial administrator Mr Alfred Tome, is appealing to Harare residents to come to the National Shrine today, to give a befitting send off to National hero, Cde Nathan Shamuyarira.Addressing journalists in Harare yesterday, Mr Tome said people would be picked up at the usual pick points starting from 5am.
“We have come again to those sad moments of time passing. We have lost a hero. An illustrious son of the soil Cde Nathan Shamuyararira,” he said.
“Burial is set for tomorrow (today) at 10:am. We have been given as Harare Metropolitan province 40 buses to ferry people to the national shrine. Buses will start to collect people at the usual pick points at 5am so we should be seated at the National Shrine by 9:30am before the proceedings that are starting at 10am.”
Mr Tome said other provinces were allocated five buses but he appealed to private transporters to assist in ferrying people to the National Heroes Acre.
He urged youths to come out in their number and listen to the inspirational words from President Mugabe.
Zanu-PF Harare provincial commissar Cde Shadreck Mashayamombe, urged people to flock to the National Heroes Acre in huge numbers.
“We are appealing to all our members in Harare and other residents to come to the National Heroes Acre and give a huge send off to our hero Cde Shamuyarira,” he said.
