And rightly so, DStv have used him in one of their PVR decoder commercials. In that advert, Elliot talks about being “your own director” as you can pause and rewind.
However, inasmuch as the PVR decoder has transformed television I strongly feel that DStv should introduce more channels on High Definition. There is the M-NetHD, SSHD1 and SSHD2 plus the two others for movies.
Quite honestly, the six channels on HD are not enough considering that there are 70 or so channels on DStv’s bouquets.
Is it not a disservice that out of the whole premium bouquet with over 70 channels only six of those are on HD?
Of course, the HD PVR decoder has other functions like pausing and rewinding live as well as recording but I still feel that there is need for more channels in HD rather than standard definition.
But for people who love sport the SSHD channels are enjoyable as you get closer to the action especially with the latest LED television screens, the picture quality is magnificent.
We hope that DStv will move in quickly to introduce more HD channels although I’m told this would come at a cost.
This week I intend to give you some of the previews on DStv channels, which I know a good number of viewers are already familiar with.

Considered as one of today’s hottest and most original artistes in rap, the crews will honour Lil Wayne by performing to some of the artiste’s top songs, including Ride Above It, A Milli and many more.

- Ben 10 Ultimate Alien
It all start starts when Ben goes on a camping trip his grandfather Max and cousin Gwen. Ben discovers a strange device, the Omnitrix (which later becomes the Ultimatrix), which locks itself on his wrist.
With the Omnitrix, Ben has the ability to change into bizarre aliens, each of which has its own set of special abilities that Ben can use.
All this while still maintaining the personality of a 10-year-old boy. The plot of Ben 10 Ultimate Alien is set after the events of Ben 10: Alien Force. Ben, now 16 years old, must now master the Ultimatrix.
DStv audiences can tune into Cartoon Network on DStv from Saturday September 10 at 10.55pm to find out why Ben 10 is a hero.
The television show has even spawned a merchandise explosion for retailers and distributors globally.
