Let’s keep Vision 2030 agenda alive: Garwe

Victor Maphosa Mashonaland East Bureau ZANU PF officials and members in Mashonaland East Province have been urged to vigorously support President Mnangagwa and all Government development programmes to ensure the successful attainment of an upper-middle-income society by 2030. The call was made by the provincial chairman, Cde Daniel Garwe, at a Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting held here on Saturday. The meeting was convened to brief party structures on the resolutions from the recent People’s Conference in Mutare. Cde Garwe officiated at the gathering and revealed that one of the key resolutions adopted was for President Mnangagwa to remain in office until 2030. He instructed the province to immediately begin disseminating this message through party inter-district meetings starting next week. “Let us support the President, let us also fully support all the development programmes by Government. The 2030 agenda is all about development, nothing else,” Cde Garwe said. He added that discipline, unity and loyalty were prerequisites for achieving the national vision. “Let us all be disciplined, united and loyal to the party. Let us be loyal to the President,” he added. Cde Garwe credited the President’s leadership for attracting significant foreign investment, citing the recent visit of Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote and growing interest from American investors as evidence of the Second Republic’s sound policies. “Under the leadership of President Mnangagwa, we have seen an influx of foreign investors. We are witnessing massive development,” he stated. Beyond foreign investment, Cde Garwe highlighted the President’s focus on local empowerment and the ongoing revamping of the health sector, using Parirenyatwa and Mpilo hospitals as examples. He also reminded attendees that the party supervises the Government and called for an end to social media abuse within the party ranks, urging unity and loyalty as the foundation for national prosperity.
