The country’s development aspirations can only be realised if citizens pull in one direction in the same manner the nation united in the fight for independence, Zanu PF Women’s League Secretary for Administration Cde Monica Mutsvangwa has said.
She said this in Mhondoro Mubaira on Wednesday during a voter mobilisation campaign at Mubaira Growth Point.
“The aim of the liberation struggle was to have equal opportunities for all, but as the President is placing emphasis on politics of development, let’s strive to develop together and pull in one direction, and that includes voting for the party at all levels,” said Cde Mutsvangwa.
Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association chairman Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa delivered over 100 bicycles and motorbikes to district chairpersons and local leaders in Chegutu, Mhondoro and Norton, as well as inputs for the cropping season to the constituency.
Cde Mutsvangwa said the party was living no one and no place behind in its development matrix, hence the need for everyone to embrace the Second Republic’s development policies.
“After the national congress in which the people chose their rightful leader, we are here in Mhondoro Mubaira aimed at mobilising all in this area to vote for the ruling party. The bikes are for them to assist in registration for them to vote for the party of choice,” said Cde Mutsvangwa.
Zanu PF Mashonaland West provincial chairman Mary Mliswa-Chikoka: “What we have seen is critical to the party’s development; projects will be heard everywhere and inputs, we thank Cde Mutsvangwa and no place will be left behind.”
The revolutionary party has been building the capacity of communities particularly through farming inputs and implements to ensure bumper harvests.
The Women’s League has also gone around the country training women to be self-reliant through making soap and other detergents.
