SECRETARIES of administration for former liberation movements from southern Africa are meeting here for a solidarity conference that is aimed at cementing their relations and fighting neo-colonialism. Zanu-PF is hosting the meeting which started yesterday and ends on Saturday at Elephant Hills resort. Cde Ignatius Chombo will be representing the liberation party as its secretary for administration.

Minister of State for Matabeleland North Province Cde Cain Mathema welcomed some of the delegates yesterday before a dinner which he hosted on behalf of Cde Chombo, who arrives today.

Cde Mathema said representatives from the African National Congress of South Africa, Chama Cha Mapinduzi of Tanzania, South West Africa People’s Organisation (Swapo) of Namibia, Frelimo of Mozambique and the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola had arrived last night.

“This is an annual meeting for secretaries of administration for all former liberation war movements where they meet to compare notes and advise each other about the mission to liberate our countries,” said Cde Mathema. He said the common goal for all former liberation war movements is to move ahead with the struggle.
