LIBERATION hero Cde Elisha Mudara, who died after a short illness, was interred at Mashonaland East Provincial Heroes Acre in Marondera today.
Cde Mudara died in Marondera provincial hospital on July 9, 2025.
He was 66.
Cde Mudara, whose Chimurenga name was Cooper Beta, was described as someone who was hardworking and had his family at heart.

Speaking at his burial, Mr Luke Mudara, a brother to the late gallant son of the soil said the void left by his brother will always be felt.
“He was a father figure, not in our family alone, but to everyone. He loved his family,” he said.
“He was a hardworking person who always instilled discipline in his family. We are saddened by his untimely death. On behalf of the Mudara family, I want to thank the Government for recognising my brother with a hero status. I also want to thank everyone who came to pay their last respects to my brother.”
