IT’S back to business for the county’s young and talented photography duo, Liberty Libertino Mugari and Munashe Chokodza.
Tomorrow, they will be in action when Dynamos and Simba Bhora clash in a Castle Challenge Cup.
The two have gone out of their way to create lasting memories for local football stars.
They are also capturing the imagination of many, making the Castle Lager Premiership look more appealing than the reality at times.
Interestingly, Libertino and Chokodza share a striking resemblance, which Libertino has often testified to on his Facebook page, which has a decent following.
They also share similar tastes in bald hairstyles and prefer to keep their beards unshaved, adding to the look-alike claim.
While Libertino specialises in action pictures, his peer excels in still pictures.
Together, they are helping to promote domestic football by producing images that also critique coaches, administrators and sometimes misbehaving fans.
They also claim that the equipment they use to generate content requires a minimum investment of US$5,000.
Despite their significant investment, they receive minimal compensation from those who value and celebrate their content.
Libertino, the country’s best sports photographer, did not even receive an official invitation to the Castle Lager Premiership’s annual individual awards ceremony, where local stars are honoured.
Ironically, some of his pictures were used at the ceremony.
Knowledge Chingwecha and Chex Images are also flexing their muscles while young photographers like Tafadzwa ‘Sticks’ Chigandiwa and Symbolic are beginning to make a name for themselves.
