Arthur Marara Point Blank
A story is told about two sons of an alcoholic father: One struggles through life as a drunk. The other becomes a successful, ambitious businessman.
When asked: “Why are you the way you are?”
Both responded: “My father was an alcoholic.”
What does this story teach? We can all be looking at the same things, and make different choices. It speaks further to interesting points of view! And it is true that we all see the same situation very different. What some may use to justify a weakness, you can use it as motivation to grow your life.
Life is indeed a series of choices that we make every single day. These choices have consequences that will directly affect us and those around us.
Choices are everything
John Maxwell states rightfully the importance of decision-making: “Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make makes you.” Your choices define your life. Every decision you make becomes you. The quality of choices you make determines the quality of life you lead.
One of the most critical aspects of life is ‘decision making’. Choices also involve making the right decision. Every choice that you make can impact your life either in a good or in a bad way. Choices help shape us to identify who we are to ourselves and to other people.
People hate it when they are confronted with the fact that personal responsibility is the route to success. It does not matter where you are born from, what matters is the quality of decisions of choices that you are making.
Our lives can be better if we think wisely. Don’t make it too complicated for yourself. You can turn around the direction of your life.
It is all about choices.
You choose what you want to become. It does not matter what type of family you were born in, what matters the most is your decision on who to be in life. Your mindset decides who you be in life the most, so grow it first and you see how your life changes.
Bill Gates once remarked and aptly so, that it is not your problem to be born poor, but yours when die poor. Choices are everything.
Instead of blaming an alcohol parent for the way you are, make better choices. Instead of blaming your parents for not leaving you an inheritance, take charge and create an inheritance for your children.
Your surroundings must not define the future. You should define your own future.
Success is a choice so is failure
Corruption is a choice, so is integrity
