LONDON. — After a dream English Premier League soccer season, Gary Lineker is in Milan preparing for some more fantasy football. BT Sport’s lead presenter has already celebrated his beloved Leicester sealing the title and a place in next season’s Champions League.
Now Bale, Ronaldo, Griezmann and Koke will be the serial thrillers as Real Madrid face Atletico – for the second time in three years – in tonight’s final .
It is a feast set to bring home to Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea just how much they will miss next season’s competition.
With Jose Mourinho all set for Old Trafford, however, Lineker is convinced that English football’s fallen giants could yet attract the stars capable of restoring them to greatness.
The former England and Barcelona striker said: “Having Mourinho, for example, will help United to attract players.
“The Champions League is a massive draw and it is a problem for Manchester United that they are not in it attracting superstars. — The Mirror
