Seasoned contemporary Afro Pop and Jazz musician Nomathamsanqa Nkwali will bring melodic vibes tonight when  she  performs at Vivo Safari in Bulawayo.

Dubbed Original Music – Live Session,  the much travelled musician will be performing with a live band and the show will feature Austria-based veteran musician Blessings Nqo as a special guest.

The idea of the live session is credited to drummer Erasmus Nleya and Vivo Safari who created the gigs as a manner of giving local artistes a platform to perform in front of an organic and diverse crowd.

Throughout the evening, Nkwali said she will be belting some of her hits from a comprehensive set list that defines who she is.

“It’s been a while since I performed locally as Nkwali. I am happy that I will be hosting this event at Vivo Safari, which will allow me to reconnect with my fans.

“I will incorporate an impressive selection of hits from my prolific catalog, including Halala Lozikeyi, Nyawo Lwami, Mntanami and many more. Special requests from fans will be welcome so as to make the gig more fun.

“Blessing Nqo is the guest artiste and he will be performing locally after a while as he is based in Europe. Music lovers have to brace for a stellar show,” said Nkwali.

The much anticipated gig will allow Nkwali to launch her latest track titled Sengihamba. She composed the song together with Dumisani Gumpo,  with Ezra Tshisa Sibanda credited on the production.
