A live painting of singer and dancer Sandra Ndebele-Sibindi will take place at the Comedy Roast night on Saturday at Rainbow Hotel.

The event, organised by Umahlekisa Entertainment, will feature a panel of comedians, journalists and poets who will roast the Roastee in a humorous and friendly manner.

The live painting will be done by muralist Sphinx, who will create a 2×1,2m portrait of Sandra Ndebele-Sibindi on the spot as the roast goes on.

The mural will then be auctioned after the show, giving the audience a chance to own a piece of art and history.

“The Roast of Sandra keeps getting better and better as we anticipate a live drawing of Sandra Ndebele-Sibindi by Sphinx,” said Ntando Van Moyo, the Director of Umahlekisa Entertainment.

The Roast Panel, led by the Roast Master, will include comedian Carl Joshua Ncube, who joined the line-up after journalist, Zenzele Dube was replaced by blogger and online magazine owner, Kudakwashe Takundwa.

Radio personalities Ezra ‘Tshisa’ Sibanda and Babongile Skhonjwa as well as poetess, Sithandazile Dube, will also add their witty remarks and insights to the roast.

A comedy roast aims to comically ridicule a celebrity, where the Roastee and the Roast Panel pick up on each other and themselves.

Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the Comedy Roast of Sandra, a unique and entertaining event that celebrates the life and achievements of one of Zimbabwe’s most talented and versatile artists.
