Liverpool fans urged to dress up as Klopp at Anfield

WITH a fairly unremarkable record of two wins, two draws and two defeats in Liverpool’s side’s six opening Premier League games this season, pressure is beginning to mount on manager Brendan Rodgers. Singularly unimpressed with their team’s start to the season, one group of Liverpool supporters are — with tongues pressed firmly in cheeks, one hopes — urging their fellow fans to send a message to the club’s owners by dressing up as former Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp for Saturday’s league match against Aston Villa at Anfield.

A Liverpool fan site has called upon its 122,000 Twitter followers to wear Reds tracksuits, glasses and baseball caps in a bid to fill the Kop with Klopps. Klopp, who is currently without a club after leaving Borussia Dortmund in April, has been linked with Liverpool’s managerial post several times over the past couple of years. — ESPN
