Lloyd Mutasa job safe

Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasaa��s job seems to be safe, at least for now, and is in charge of the cluba��s off-season training which began this week.

After the Harare giants finished last season in fifth place in what was their worst term, in almost a decade, Mutasaa��s future has been a subject of speculation.

But Dynamosa�� chiefs appear to have stuck with coach Lloyd Mutasa, who is already in the process of building a squad for next season.

Mutasa will oversee trials that begin next Monday, followed by full team training the following week.

Dynamos secretary general Webster Marechers confirmed that the current technical team will continue work this week.

a�?The coaches have already given us their programme, which we have okayed. So on Monday they will start by assessing some young players to add to the squad,a�? Marechera said.

a�?Those are trials and it will be their choice who to sign. Obviously they have our support on this one, because as you know we cannot afford to buy big players. The economy does not allow us to do that, so we will deal with young players. To us this is a tried and tested way because the youngsters we roped in last season did well and they are already good first team players.a�?

Dynamos are also battling to retain senior players, like defender Ocean Mushure, goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva and captain Stephen Alimenda whose contracts have expired.

They have already failed to tie up Godknows Murwira who has joined Ngezi Platinum and Brett Amidu who has now signed for FC Platinum.
