Local acts unite for night of African music in Bulawayo

Traditional music enthusiasts are in for an unforgettable cultural experience on July 17 when acclaimed traditional ensemble Sekunjalo MaAfrica Arts and indigenous music outfit Uhlaba Usabila headline KwaNtuthu After Dark – Kusihlwa event, at Alliance Française de Bulawayo.

Adding further sparkle to the evening will be multi-award-winning Afri-jazz musician Gog’ Bekezela, whose soulful sound is expected to complement the celebration of Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage.

Dubbed KwaNtuthu After Dark – Kusihlwa, the event promises an immersive musical journey that celebrates African music, storytelling and cultural expression through captivating live performances.

The show is being organised by Gobela Arts Development Agency in partnership with Sekunjalo MaAfrica Arts.

Organisers have invited lovers of traditional and indigenous music to attend the event, describing it as a unique opportunity to celebrate Africa’s rich artistic heritage in an intimate setting.

“Step into an evening of live music, powerful performances and authentic cultural expression. Bring your friends and experience KwaNtuthu After Dark – Kusihlwa,” reads part of the organisers’ statement.
