SOUTH AFRICAN singer, Makhadzi (real name Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona) has been on everyone’s lips lately.
The Queen of Limpopo’s exploits in the music industry have had a telling effect on Gwanda-born author, Kaykay The Goddess of Art (real name Koketso Nyathi)’s life as she has set her sights on engaging the Ghanama singer, since her upcoming book is about Makhadzi’s life.
The poet, commercial model and author recently published her maiden book, Under The Meslow.
Now, she has gone back to the drawing board and is preparing to release her upcoming book in February.
The Goddess Of Art said her upcoming project is “a from rags to riches story”.
“The book titled, Tomorrow’s Yesterday For Queens is an inspirational book.
It traces the life of a girl who struggled to make it in life but wasn’t deterred by this as she hustled every day although people downgraded her.
“She was patient until she made it. Now, everyone worships and looks up to her.
This book is a mirror to Makhadzi’s life prior to fame and riches,” said KayKay.
KayKay is not new to high stakes after being a perennial “winner” in whatever she does.
The 20-year-old was crowned Miss Glamour 2021 Second Princess, Miss Intelligence 2021 Second Princess and also Miss Classic Phiphidi 2021 as the best upcoming model.
Corresponding to her portfolio is her involvement in the music scene as well.
“I was glad to be part of the music video Manyemwe by Zimbabwean artiste Mcdee Madhara,” she said.
It is her destiny to meet her idol, Makhadzi soon in a move that will culminate her expedition to tell Makhadzi’s story.
Moving forward, she wants to shoot a movie titled Dungeon of Hell and is aiming to be “one of the best Zimbabwean exports in the arts industry.” – @eMKlass_49
