The recognition adds to Mr Samuriwo’s growing list of recent accolades in the city, where he has previously scooped three Bulawayo Business Awards in different categories.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mr Samuriwo said the honour reflected the dedication of his team and the growing opportunities within the local business environment.

“I’m honoured to receive an award from ZNCC, and to have previously received three Bulawayo Business Awards. These achievements reflect the hard work of our team and the opportunities available today,” he said.

He said the recognition belonged to his staff, who he credited for the success of the business.

Mr Samuriwo also expressed appreciation for Government efforts to support the private sector, saying the operating environment had enabled local entrepreneurs to expand and create employment.

“I also want to thank the President for creating a conducive environment that allows local businesses to grow and thrive. We remain committed to building, creating jobs, and contributing to Zimbabwe’s progress,” he said.

The ZNCC Matabeleland Annual Business Awards were held under the theme “From Resilience to Competitiveness: Charting a New Path for Sustainable Industrial Growth.”

ZNCC said winners were selected by an independent adjudication committee using transparent, internationally accepted criteria, with no influence from the chamber.

Guest of honour at the event, businessman Mr Tawanda Nyambira, used the platform to call for a shift in investment thinking, urging entrepreneurs to embrace fractional ownership and small-scale investing as pathways to wealth creation and inclusive economic participation.
