SCOTT Vincent will return to the Sunshine Tour circuit when he tees off in the AfraAsia Bank Mauritius Open at the Heritage Golf Club on November 30.

The Asian and Sunshine Tour cardholder will be among 125 players who got invites for the event which is also under the European Tour.

Vincent, who has been quietly trying his lucky in Asia and Canada, will be joined by Mark Williams and Marc Cayeux in the $1 million purse tournament.

The former Chapman and Royal Harare member will go into the tournament as one of the favourites.

Cayeux will join the field on medical grounds and will take last week’s cut as a motivator as he battles some of the world’s best players.

Ryan Cairns, Greg Bentley, Mohammad Mandhu and Nyasha Muyambo will also try to make the final field by taking part in the pre-qualifying round.

Cayeux made the cut in a professional tournament for the first time in seven years at the Vodacom Origins of Golf Final at Simola Golf and Country Estate last week.

Cayeux was severely injured in a road accident in Zimbabwe in 2010, and, after 27 surgeries, it seemed a promising career had been cut short.

But, battling his way through pain and frustrating setbacks, he re-joined the Sunshine Tour in 2017, and, almost inevitably, missed the cut five times in five tournaments.
