THE DEVIL made him do it — but his manhood wouldn’t join the party!
An evil-hearted polygamous man who thought he could hide his evil deeds behind “spiritual locking” has been slapped with a heavy 16-year jail term.
Barbington Musekiwa, an unemployed father with two wives, from the DDF Compound in Gokwe South, tried to play the “limp” card in court.
He claimed his first wife had centrally “locked” his manhood, making it impossible for him to “stand to attention.”
But the magistrate didn’t buy his tall story of erectile dysfunction and sent him straight to the cooler for raping a 17-year-old schoolgirl.
The court heard that on 13 March 2026, the young victim was walking home from her maths and science lessons.
She was minding her own business, munching on some biscuits, when she spotted Musekiwa sitting on a slab wearing a red jersey.
The “hungry” Musekiwa first asked the girl for her biscuits.
When she said no, he let her pass — but he was already planning his move.
Like a predator, he followed her and suddenly pounced. He first demanded a dollar, then told the terrified girl he wanted to fondle her breasts.
When the brave girl refused, the beast turned violent.
He grabbed her, strangled her neck with both hands to stop her from screaming, and dragged her into a thick bush.
He forced her to lower her clothes and mounted her.
Despite his later claims in court that his “machinery” wasn’t working because of his wife’s juju, the medical affidavit proved that the rape indeed happened.
After the dirty act, the heartless Musekiwa told the girl to “rush home.”
But the girl didn’t just go home to cry.
She narrated her ordeal to a villager and gave a perfect description of his clothes.
Luck ran out for Musekiwa later that day. While the girl was explaining the horror to her mother, she spotted the red-jerseyed monster walking casually in the distance.
The girl suddenly pointed him out, alerting everyone that he was the monster who had attacked her.
Members of the public didn’t waste any time, they swarmed the rapist, grabbed him, and handed him over to the police.
Even after being caught, the coward tried one last move. While being escorted to Gokwe South Hospital for an HIV test, Musekiwa bolted into the bush like a rabbit.
He was eventually hunted down and brought back to face the music.
Despite pleading not guilty, Gokwe resident magistrate Stanford Mambanje found him guilty of both rape and escaping from lawful custody.
