The drama on “Life with Londie London” is not limited to the screen.
Following the latest episode of the reality series, Londie London’s close friend, Qophelo “Que” Ndwandwe, has publicly expressed his frustration with the production and what he believes is his portrayal on the show. He has even revealed that he is considering taking legal action.
The episode saw tensions boil over between Ndwandwe and fellow cast member Sihle Shabalala during a heated confrontation, leaving London caught in the middle of the fallout.
During the argument, London appeared visibly upset with Ndwandwe’s behaviour, asking him: “Have you ever seen me going back and forth with your friends?”
Shortly after the episode aired, Ndwandwe took to his Instagram Stories to share his disappointment, accusing the production team of creating a narrative that paints him in a negative light.
In one of the posts, which has since been deleted but continues to circulate on social media through screenshots, he wrote: “@RapidBlueTV @MzansiMagic if you don’t have anything to shoot anymore, rather play the news. There are a lot of serious issues in SA. @Londie_London_Official, every dog has its day!”
He later shared another statement, insisting that his concerns about his portrayal had been raised long before the show aired.
“Before anyone says I ‘changed’ after the show aired, please remember I had already expressed these concerns privately while filming was still happening. I was very clear from the beginning that I did not want to be pushed into unnecessary conflict or portrayed in a way that could negatively affect my name and business.”
He continued: “Unfortunately, watching everything unfold now only confirms exactly what I was trying to avoid.”
Ndwandwe also addressed the criticism he has received from viewers, acknowledging that he is not without fault but arguing that audiences are not seeing the complete picture.
“I’m not a perfect person, and I take accountability for moments where I reacted emotionally or said things I shouldn’t have. However, what viewers are seeing is not the full reality of what led to those reactions. Context, provocation and the build-up to many situations have consistently been left out, while moments of me defending myself are repeatedly highlighted,” he wrote.
According to Ndwandwe, the way certain scenes were edited has resulted in a one-sided narrative that portrays him solely as the aggressor, while excluding the events that led up to those moments.
He further criticised production company Rapid Blue and broadcaster Mzansi Magic, alleging that the final edit prioritised drama over accurately representing what happened during filming.
“I will be exploring legal action regarding the misinterpretation of my character and the failure to show the full story. I am not simply defending myself; I am correcting a narrative that has been edited to make me look like the problem,” he added.
The two have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
While neither Rapid Blue, Mzansi Magic nor London have publicly responded to Ndwandwe’s claims, the controversy has already opened a debate among viewers, with some arguing that he’s not being portrayed any differently but is showing his true character.
“He’s delusional- no one was expecting him to be perfect, but this ‘narrative’ was made based on his own actions. He’s mean, classist and self-absorbed,” wrote X user @Boo_Z_.
“So production edited words that came out of his mouth as well? Riiiight!!!,” said @Almighty_Mpoza – IOL.
