LOVE TO BLUFF beat six other runners in the Borrowdale Plate, when racing returned to Borrowdale Park at the weekend. By Judpot (USA), and bred by Millstream Farm, the five-year-old gelding was in a class of his own, and has now won four, of his seven starts.
With seasoned jockey, Teaque Gould, on the irons, the partnership managed to get the better of pre-race favourites, What a Dandy, and Coachella.
Love to Bluff is owned by R S Dyer, S N Buchan, N Evans, M K Chant, G de Jong, A Dixon, R Morgan, R Sherwood, G Carter and P Lewis.
Six-year-old What A Dandy, owned by John Koumides, had Rodgers Satombo who recently turned professional, on the iron.
What A Dandy, from the Swanson stable, was bred by Barton Hall Stud and remained on 11 wins, and had been placed 23 times, from 41 starts.
Third place went to evergreen Coachella. The sprinter, bred by Professor I M Sanne and owned by John Koumides, Coachella is trained by Bridget Stidolph.
Jarry Penny piloted the eight-year-old son of Alado (GB).
Jubilee completed the last slot on the feature race of the day.
