Sungura musician Lovemore “Lovezh” Nherudzo has infused rhumba rhythms into his latest project that is set for release next month at Lake Chivero. Lovezh said his third album titled “Venyama Ngaafare” is fused with rhumba to add spice to the sungura genre.

“I am trying to bring something new and exciting in the industry so that people will enjoy. The songs are a fusion of sungura and rhumba and I am confident that people will put on their dancing shoes as soon as they listen to them,” said Lovezh.

The six-track album has songs “Venyama Ngaafare”, “Denga Nenyika”, “Vanodanana”, “Munhamo”, “Unopenga” and “Nisiyei Ndakadaro” produced at KBN Studios by producer Knowledge Nkoma.

The album launch will also be a double celebration as it will be released on December 7, Lovezh’s birthday.

Lovezh said preparations for the launch are now at an advanced stage and he is already preparing for an international tour to market the album.

“Everything is getting into place. This will be an open space event so we secured a great sound system. I am also working on an international tour to promote my album and the first show is set for Nairobi, Kenya, in January next year,” said Lovezh.
