IT’S that time of the year again! If you’re heading to the ZITF with your family, be sure to check out Luna Park for some thrilling amusement park fun.

The operators of this unique mobile amusement park have everything prepared for the busy trade fair weekend.

Luna Park is the only one of its kind in Zimbabwe, moving locations every month. After several months away, it returned to Bulawayo for April, setting up at the corner of Masotsha Ndlovu Avenue and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Street.

A local favourite since the 1970s, the Luna Park offers rides enjoyed by all ages, from children to adults.

It’s especially popular during the ZITF period, with its convenient location near the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre grounds.

Family Amusement Park managing director, Mr Witness Chihota, assured the Chronicle that the Luna Park is fully operational and ready for the crowds. He acknowledges this as their busiest time of year, and they are committed to making it a memorable experience for all visitors.

“We are very pleased to announce our presence in the city after a long time being away. This time we have come at the right time, a time where the whole country is gathered in Bulawayo.

“We have been running around since the time we arrived to prepare for the trade showcase weekend.

“We have our machine operators on the ground as early as 7am ready to operate and serve our demanding customers,” said Mr Chihota.

The Luna Park’s new location at the corner of Masotsha Ndlovu Avenue and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Street offers ample space for future expansions and activities. This spacious layout also provides a convenient parking area for visitors.

“In the past we have had challenges of customers complaining about the safety of their vehicles as the spot we used did not have much parking space.

“This time we are lucky as our new location is very sparse and offers us space to put various rides and activities as well as parking space for our customers,” he said.

This year’s Luna Park promises a thrilling experience for the whole family! Besides the classic rides like rockets, the Ferris wheel (big wheel) and bumper boats, there’s even more in store. Get ready for exciting adventures on quad bikes and canoes, bounce around in jumping castles, capture lasting memories at photo booths and soar high on the jet rides. — @Sagepapie14
