LUPANE Women’s Centre in Matabeleland North province has resumed exports to African and European markets.

Last month, the centre received a $100 000 grant from the United States African Development Foundation (USADF).

The centre’s factory at Lupane Business Centre has become an economic empowerment hub for communities in the district.

Mrs Hildigard Mufukare, the centre’s manager, said they were exporting their products to some Southern African Development Community (Sadc) countries as well as some European countries.

“The $100 000 grant we received last month helped us a lot as we are now active in the export market.

“We sell our products to countries such as Mozambique, South Africa, US, Canada, Holland and Germany,” she said.
