DYNAMOS coach Lloyd “Mablanyo” Chigowe says his team can have a more secure shape if they manage to keep the experienced duo of Emmanuel Jalai and goalkeeper Martin Mapisa.
Chigowe is hoping to see Jalai and Mapisa making their way back into the Dynamos dressing room.
“I am hoping to see Jalai (Emmanuel) coming back and be able to lead the squad.
“He is the leader of this orchestra. And we will be eager to see him back.
“We all know that he is a leader both on and off the field of play. He will lead the squad which we are trying to build here. We have lost a number of players as a team but we are trying to patch up.
“I wouldn’t say we are completely in the forest, no, but we have somewhere to start from.
“And, if we can have someone like Jalai leading the team, I know we will be very stable. So it is my hope to see him coming back and giving us the value that he has always given over the years.”
Chigowe confirmed that Mapisa was in talks with the club’s executive after the expiry of his contract last December.
The lanky goalkeeper was linked with a move to Zambian giants ZESCO United but the move appears to have collapsed.
“For Mapisa, well, I understand there are some talks going on between him and the executive.
“Those are personal issues but otherwise we do not have any problems with any players.
“We are glad that Shadreck (Nyahwa) has trooped back and also Temptation (Chiwunga). So we are not completely in a forest.
“We have tried to inculcate unto the new players the values expected at Dynamos. I don’t have any doubts about their capabilities.”
