Bulawayo-based emerging artiste KaspTheWildChild is set to release a new single that shines a spotlight on the damaging effects of gossip, judgment and negativity within communities.
Titled Indaba Zayizolo and featuring fellow artiste MSK, the Hip Hop and Kwaito fusion track is scheduled for release on July 11 and draws inspiration from real-life experiences that many people encounter in their daily lives.
Born Karen Tshuma and raised in Mabutweni, Mpopoma, KaspTheWildChild said the song was inspired by witnessing how gossip and criticism can affect people’s confidence, ambitions and personal growth.

“Indaba Zayizolo is about real life. People are always busy talking about others, judging and spreading gossip instead of focusing on their own growth. I wanted to create something that speaks directly to that reality,” he said.
According to the artiste, the track goes beyond entertainment and seeks to encourage listeners to remain focused on their goals despite criticism from others.
“The song is not just entertainment; it’s a lesson. It reminds people to stay focused, ignore negativity and believe in their own journey no matter what people say,” he said.
Kasp said his upbringing in Mabutweni played a major role in shaping the message behind the song.

“I come from Mabutweni and I’ve seen how gossip can destroy people’s confidence and dreams. This song is my way of turning that experience into music that uplifts and teaches,” he said.
The collaboration with MSK adds another dimension to the project, blending different musical influences to create a sound that appeals to a broad audience.
“Working with MSK on this track was powerful. We wanted to bring both Hip Hop and Kwaito energy together so the message reaches everyone, from the streets to the studios,” said Kasp.
As he continues to establish himself in Zimbabwe’s music industry, the artiste believes Indaba Zayizolo represents an important step in his career and artistic development.
“My goal is to grow in music and inspire others who are in the same position I was in. Indaba Zayizolo is just the beginning of bigger things coming,” he said.
The single was produced at Umthombo Wesizwe Records and recorded and mastered by Trey Albums. It combines street-inspired rhythms with conscious storytelling, a formula Kasp hopes will resonate with listeners while sparking conversations about the impact of gossip and judgment in society.
