Mabvuku man sets house ablaze, allegedly kills two children

A Mabvuku man is alleged to have killed his two children by setting their house on fire in Eastview, Mabvuku, in a suspected case of filicide.

The children were burnt beyond recognition.

Gift Muyengwa, 24, was reported to have had a misunderstanding with his wife, Tsitsi Zuze, 22, over an undisclosed matter.

Gift allegedly stabbed Tsitsi and set the cabin house on fire. He then turned the knife to his stomach and cut himself, exposing his intestines.

The couple is battling for life at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in Harare.
