A 17-year-old woman from Mabvuku experienced a harrowing ordeal that left the community in shock on Tuesday.

While walking home after repairing her cellphone around 11am, she was kidnapped by three men in an unregistered pickup truck.

As she walked along the road, the truck approached from behind and came to a sudden stop nearby.

One of the men jumped out, brandishing a knife, and forcibly dragged her into the vehicle, threatening her against screaming.

The truck drove to a secluded area near the new stands in Mabvuku. Once they arrived, one of the men took her into the bushes, while the second returned to the vehicle with a rope.

After tying her hands, the men fled, leaving her vulnerable and alone.

Tragically, the woman was subjected to sexual violence during this time.

Fortunately, she was discovered by three passersby who offered assistance.

They untied her and directed her to her home.

Although police were not immediately available for comment, sources indicate that she reported the incident to ZRP Mabvuku under RRB 6608246.

She has since been referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for a medical examination.
