Macheso delivers stellar performance at Mash East Agric Show

Sungura maestro Alick Macheso, founder and leader of the Ochestra Mberikwazvo band this Friday put on a stellar performance to shut down the Mashonaland East Provincial Agriculture Show in Marondera.
Macheso, who was part of a line-up of the musicians that performed at the auspicious event, was at his usual best.
Performing hit after hit, the Sungura king mesmerised thousands of fans who were gathered at the provincial show grounds, and left them yearning for more.

So outstanding was his performance that everyone was on their feet, showing their deft dancing skills.

In an interview with The Herald on the sidelines of the show, the Kupa Kuturika hitmaker saluted his sea of fans not only from Marondera but across the country for standing with him and the band through thin and thick.

“These are the people who stood by me through and through and I am saluting all of them,” he said.

“We will continue to entertain and release the best songs which are both educational and entertaining for our fans.”
