SUNGURA king Alick Macheso will share the stage with vibrant Clement Magwaza at Stanley Square in Makokoba on Saturday.

Both self-acclaimed kings of Ndolwane and Sungura respectively are set for a showdown as the show organiser – Asani Mandizvidza says the two are eager to prove who the crowd puller is.

“Both artistes are raring to go as they want to outshine each other. They want to prove to each other, who the best is in their different fields,” said Mandizvidza.

In as much as Macheso has a strong following in Bulawayo, Mandizvidza said the sungura maestro was aware of Magwaza’s potential and was eager to see him on stage.

“Macheso knows a lot about Magwaza’s music, but he has never seen the young man on stage. Macheso is so keen to watch the young man perform.

“This will be an opportunity for him to witness Magwaza working his magic on stage,” he said.

Mandizvidza added that if Magwaza impresses Macheso, they will likely collaborate.

Both artistes will sample tracks from their forthcoming albums.

“The other intriguing thing about the show is that both artistes are going to be sampling new material from their upcoming albums. I urge their fans to come in numbers as this is not a show to miss.”
