Rejuvenated Sungura legend and Orchestra Mberikwazvo leader Alick Macheso is set to make a return in the city of Bulawayo as the Mundigumbuke hitmaker will be staging a show at Palace Hotel on 29 March.

On the following day (30 March) he will proceed to Beitbridge’s refurbished Pagomba Café.

On both potential thrillers he will be supported on the stage by Isizwe Sabatsha Arts Troupe with DJs Keitho, Mandoza, Ayaxx,Vic Gee as well as MC Kay One, rotating on the decks.

Tapiwa Gandiwa who is the man behind both shows said all is in place for Cheso Power to party with Sungura lovers.

“We have been hosting a number of top profile artistes at Palace from Killer T, Clement Magwaza, Insimbi zeZhwane, Leonard Zhakata among others, and we felt it was high time we call again Baba Shero to grace us with a gig on 29 March as we celebrate Easter with him in style.

“He is a legend of the game and we are hosting him because of public demand and special requests from our patrons. Palace has been home to many creatives, and with Macheso seeking a home in Bulawayo, we hope he will love The Palace because it’s his home too.

“On the following day – Pagomba Café in Beitbridge will be the place to be as Macheso will proceed for a performance at the border town where he will be supported on stage by a number of young creatives.

“On both shows, we will continue to give our patrons nothing but undiluted entertainment. Orderliness and professionalism are what makes us tick and we will make sure patrons enjoy life to the fullest while they date their favourite musician,” said Gandiwa.
