Macheso’s welcome back show, Andy Muridzo delight in Mutare

AFTER a successful and highly-subscribed show in the United Kingdom where he headlined the SAMA Festival 2025, sungura ace, Alick Macheso will descend on Mutare for the first time at the spacious joint situated at the Mutare Showgrounds tomorrow (Saturday).

Macheso, backed by his evergreen and energetic Orchestra Mberikwazvo, will be supported by talented crooner, Andy Muridzo and comic dancer, Apama. Disc spinners who will warm up the stage for the three performers include Lion, Bling, Hugflex, Tynash, Marlo and Tinashe ‘The Farmer’ Zilole.

Chitsa Bar and Liquids

Following the buzz of the eventful Vintage Sunday, the popular Dangamvura hotspot shifts gears with its new school session, aptly dubbed Verified Friday.

The event will be superintended by DJs Tea Maffin, Stixxie and Popinjo.

The formidable trio will carry the pleasure forward tomorrow with the Sounds on Saturday, where patrons will be treated to a mixed bag of music, including new beats. Old School music specialist, DJ Tawaz will take patrons down memory lane with old classics on Sunday from 2pm till the last man drops.

Club Mandisa

AFTER a sizzling Easter weekend where Bev and The Sexy Angels left patrons in awe with their electrifying performances, the excitement continues with a star-studded lineup of dancers heating up the VIP section. It is the perfect way to unwind after a long week.

Tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday, the main auditorium will come alive with non-stop beats from a talented roster of DJs, headlined by Nasty and Smokes guaranteeing an unforgettable party vibe all weekend long.

Micasa

The upmarket venue — celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and crowd that spans the stylish and the seasoned — ushers in the new month with an unforgettable entertainment showcase.

 

This evening, resident maestro, DJ Fraizer takes centre stage, setting the tone with his signature sound.

He will be joined by exciting DJ Cape Lorel, and together they will curate an exquisite blend of contemporary hits and timeless classics, ensuring the energy remains high until the final note fades and the last dancer steps away from the floor.

Madziro

Veteran DJ, Candyman Retro Don, is dedicating this Saturday to new school fans where he will churn out only new and recently-released beats.

 

Tomorrow, he will take the crowd on a nostalgic journey with a mix of classic tracks from various genres tomorrow.

 

Pleasure seekers at the open-air venue along the Mutare-Chimanimani Highway will be treated to a mixed bag of music on Sunday.

Overjoy Nite Club

Raunchy dance group, Golden Girls, headline this weekend’s festivities at the indoor and outdoor joint located at the usually sleepy and tranquil Dora communal lands.

 

The newly-assembled group will perform tomorrow afternoon till Sunday morning. Selected DJs will light up the Sunday old School.

Munos Pub (Sakubva)

This Sunday, DJ Ranga and a curated selection of seasoned disc spinners will revive the golden era of sound in the city’s oldest suburb, delivering a nostalgic journey through timeless classics.
