Madlingozi’s son dies

AFRO-POP singer Ringo Madlingozi’s son has died. It is understood that Ernest (29) died of heart complications and kidney failure.
His mother, Ronel Nagfaal, a Cape Town jazz saxophonist, spoke to Sunday World last Friday as the family were preparing for the funeral, which took place yesterday.

“I haven’t had any sleep. All the family are here in support,” she said.
Madlingozi, who was also in Cape Town for the funeral, could not be reached for comment. Madlingozi and Nagfaal have shared their pain on

Twitter. On September 30, he posted “What can I do when it seems like there’s nothing to do”, to which Nagfaal replied: “Exactly just that. Nothing!”

On October 3, Madlingozi praised Nagfaal as “the strongest lady I ever met”.
