A CHITUNGWIZA-BASED self-styled prophet allegedly told a woman he needed to remove items from her private parts using his hands before raping her.
He is also being accused of duping the woman of her vehicle.
Comrade Chinyanga, popularly known as Madzibaba Masimba of Pagomba in Zengeza 4, has been arrested.
He allegedly lured a 24-year-old female client to his shrine.
He is alleged to have raped her once without protection.
The victim told H-Metro that Madzibaba Masimba allegedly claimed that she had some items which needed to be removed from her private parts.
She claims he needed to use his hands to remove the items.
She claims Madzibaba Masimba then allegedly raped her.
After the rape, Madziba Masimba claimed to have removed five items he said were causing misfortunes in the client’s life.
“I confronted him over the rape and he went on to demand US$3,000 as payment for removing the so-called items.
“I didn’t have that kind of money and he ordered me to leave my vehicle plus my mobile phone as security.
“Because of fear, and after being traumatised, I handed over the car keys and the cellphone for my freedom and left the shrine.
“I reported the case,” said the victim.
Police recovered the vehicle on Monday at a garage at Chikwana Shopping Centre.
Madzibaba Masimba is based at a shrine close to Pagomba in Zengeza 4.
