APOSTOLIC sect leader Madzibaba Biggie Musanzika, popularly known as Madzibaba Jonah, has returned from a three-day spiritual visit to Tanzania, where he interfaced with members of the Johane Masowe YeChishanu sect in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking on arrival at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on Wednesday, Madzibaba Biggie said the visit strengthened religious, cultural and social ties between Zimbabwe and Tanzania.
He described the trip as fruitful and said that it increased collaboration among apostolic sects across borders.
“The fellowship in Tanzania was enriching and reflects the unity developing among believers in our region. Such engagements are critical in strengthening faith and promoting cultural exchange,” he said.
Madzibaba Biggie commended President Mnangagwa for fostering cordial bilateral relations, which he said have created an enabling environment for interaction among religious communities.
Based in Muzarabani District, Madzibaba Biggie, who is also ZANU PF Mashonaland Central Vice Provincial Political Commissar, urged Zimbabweans to remain united and support national development programmes.
He echoed the national vision espoused by President Mnangagwa, “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo,” and said citizens have a collective responsibility to contribute to the country’s development through discipline, hard work and faith.
Hundreds of congregants thronged the airport to welcome him, with scenes of jubilation marking his return.
One congregant said the community was eager to continue six-day prayer sessions currently underway in Centenary.
“We are delighted to have him back and we invite others to come and witness the works taking place,” said the congregant.
Madzibaba Biggie’s visit is expected to further consolidate ties between apostolic sect communities in Zimbabwe and Tanzania while reinforcing the importance of spiritual devotion and national unity.
