MADZIBABA Nicholas Zakaria yesterday welcomed businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s gift of a 2024 Toyota Fortuner as the best reward for his service in showbiz.

The veteran musician said it was beyond his wildest dreams.

He has spent over 40 years in the music industry.

“I have been in the music industry for over four decades but I have never been rewarded this way.

“I can’t believe that it’s me who has been rewarded by (Wicknell) Chivayo and I can only wish the Lord to continue blessing him.

“I can’t believe that good people with the heart of gold still exist as is the case with Chivayo,” he said.

Madzibaba will perform at the 44th Uhuru celebrations at Murambinda Growth Point in Buhera on April 18.

“I have always loved to serve my country with distinction whenever I am called for national duty.

“I always perform to perfection each time I am allowed to showcase my talent at national events.

“On that note, I do promise a show to remember on April 18  at Murambinda Growth Point.

“I last performed there more than 20 years ago when I was still with Zacharia Zakaria, my younger brother who has joined Alick Macheso.

“It’s always a good feeling for us as musicians to be afforded such a platform to perform before a big crowd.”
