Mafikizolo in town to honour heroes

Herald Reporter
South African Afro-pop music duo ‘Mafikizolo’ has arrived in the country to perform in tonight’s Heroes Gala at the Harare International Conference Centre.

Speaking to the media this afternoon soon after touching down at the Robert Mugabe International Airport, the duo promised fans fireworks.

“It is our second home. It always feels good coming back here,” said Nontlantla Sibongile.
The group has previously performed in Zimbabwe before, but Tate Theodore said this time they are motivated more since they are doing it for heroes.

“First and foremost, because it’s a heroes’ gala. We are honouring the heroes. I think it is very important that every hero needs to be honoured. You do not just become a hero, probably you have done something great to your country.

“We feel very privileged that we are one of the chosen band in South Africa to come and honour the night for the heroes,” said Theodore.

“We love our fans and we never disappoint. Obviously when we are there we make sure we give them the best of Mafikizolo, taking them back from where we come from.”
