Magwegwe, Sojini win Orap tourney

FOURTEEN secondary school boys and four girls teams competed in the Orap-Zenzele Chevrolet soccer tournament at Gifford High School in Bulawayo. Magwegwe High won the boys event and Sojini High was crowned the girls champions. Both teams received a full kit and 10 balls for their efforts.

Orap chief financial officer, Brighton Malandule declared the tournament a huge success saying they had received support from different organisations from both the public and private sectors.

He said his organisation planned to expand the tournament so that it becomes a national event.

Boys

Player of the tournament and most outstanding player: Elton Bushe (Gifford High).

Best goalkeeper: Marvelous Mpofu (Mpopoma High)

Girls

Player of the tournament and top goal scorer: Monalisa Mxoli (Sojini High)

Best goalkeeper: Sharon Mpofu (Magwegwe High)
