Magwizi in Warriors rallying call

ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi has rallied  the Warriors, urging them to play with  heart ahead of their crucial World Cup African Zone qualifier against Benin in  Cote d’lvoire.

The match kicks off Friday at 6pm in Abidjan.

Benin who are using stadiums in Abjdjan as they have no CAF certified venue of their own, are in third place with eight points.

Visitors Zimbabwe, with four points and at the foot of the table are looking for their first win in a delicate Group C that is headed by South Africa with 13 points.

Should they win Friday against Benin and Tuesday against Rwanda in South Africa, the Warriors will bounce back into the reckoning for a chance to rescue a campaign that started awfully in 2024.

And Magwizi believes in his Warriors.

He took to his social media handles to rally skipper Marvelous Nakamba and his troops, hours before they go into battle.

“All the best to the Warriors as they take on Benin today in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

“Play with heart, make us proud and bring it home.” wrote Magwizi.
